Meet Flat Everett and Flat Joshua

Jason and I have the opportunity this trip to bring along two stowaways, some very flattened 8 year olds. The son of one of my boss's is doing a project on the children's book Flat Stanley where all 2nd graders have created flat versions of themselves. Then the flat versions get sent off to family members who live in other places and on trips with friends. This first picture is of Flat Everett. He has already been to several places around the U.S. and just this weekend came back from a week long trip to the British Virgin Islands where he stayed on a Catamaran and went snorkeling.

I have a friend from Vero whose son is also in 2nd grade so I thought how fun it would be if Flat Joshua could come along for the adventure as well. I created Flat Joshua myself because there just wasn't enough time to do it the real way. So this is Flat Joshua:

I hope they're excited to go to Costa Rica! Hopefully both flat boys will have the chance to ride on an airplane, go SCUBA diving, ride on boats, visit rain forests, see baby sloths, learn how chocolate is made, zipline through the forest, go white water rafting and swim at the beach among other things.

I'll be posting more once we arrive in Costa Rica. We are looking forward to two long weeks away.
